TACTIC: Suspend Threadβ
The procedures for suspending a thread in response to an Endgame alert is slightly different than targeting a process that is not directly associated with an alert.

- From the Endgame web UI, navigate to the
Alertstab on the left-hand pane - Find the alert of interest and click on the respective
Process InjectionALERT TYPEentry to get to theAlert Detailspage - There are 2 ways to choose to suspend a suspicious thread
- Clicking on
Response->Suspend Threadand choosing the target thread Id of known suspicious threads - Opening either the
Target Process(orSource Process, whichever has a red β caution sign) and clicking the π syringe in theFileless Attacksentry to open the thread injection details
- Clicking on
- When prompted, confirm the target thread Id and click
Yesto suspend the thread - Click on
Go to Endpointto go to theEndpoint Detailspage - Verify that the newest
Suspend Threadresponse entry under theActivity TimelinesaysSuspend Thread (Success)

Suspend Thread (, click on the entry to expand the log message to investigate why the response failedFailed)

Click on
Take Action->Respond -
Click on the
Suspend Threadradio button and fill theThread Id -
Click on
Create Response -
Verify that the
Responses successfully launchedmessage appears and clickClose

3 - Verify the response resultsβ

Wait for the
Activity Timelineunder theEndpoint Detailson the left-hand pane to update with aREFRESH LISTnotification -
Click on the
REFRESH LISTnotification -
Verify that the newest
Suspend Threadresponse entry under theActivity TimelinesaysSuspend Thread (Success)
